Re:base

Our mission was to design a brand identity for a new online business specialised in power tools. Re:base sets itself up as a business that takes its customer service to the next level. The brand helps buyers to choose power tools ideally suited to their needs whilst providing expertise about the maintenance of its products. This online platform repairs or replaces purchased products in case of a breakdown since the company’s main goal is to keep in close contact with its customers and help them at all times.
The consumer-brand relationship, which defines Rebase’s ethos, gave us a starting point in terms of creating the brand’s visual identity. The two-dot logo has something in common with the business’s direct-to-consumer model as well as the design of power outlets. This bubble-shaped design refers to an open and consistent two-way communication whilst keeping the customers aware with the products.
These copyright and advertising techniques, which embrace the brand’s essence, are based on questions and answers.
Evoking the online brand’s dynamic personality, the bright colour palette effectively makes the firm stand out from traditional competitors. As for the typography, we chose to use a geometric grotesque font. The lowercase logo and texts express a feeling of friendliness whilst echoing the brand’s casual, yet professional relationship with customers.
In order to ensure that the company’s identity is effectively reflected through the look and feel of the website, we developed a UI-kit outlining the design guidelines of interface elements whilst featuring illustrative examples.
